3 Inspirational Books That Will Rock Your World

I love a good inspirational book. There's something really cathartic and healing about diving into spirituality and personal growth while you're curled up on the couch in your comfiest pair of pajamas with a cup of your favorite tea.

And it's even better when the book blows your mind. When it changes how you see yourself and the world. When it opens your eyes to new possibilities.

Here are 3 that have done just that for me.

Women, Food and God: An Unexpected Path to Almost Everything, by Geneen Roth

In a nutshell: Women, Food and God shows how going beyond the food and the feelings takes us deeper into realms of spirit and soul—to the center of our own life, our truth. With a proven process and tools, Roth reaffirms that we can stop struggling and end our battle with food. This book has been a blessing to me on my journey to lose 100+ pounds. In fact, I own it on audio and listen to it on my evening walks through the park while waiting for my boys to finish up swim practice. Plus, Roth's comedic skills are infused here and there to help me break through some of the pain with a little laughter.

Perfect for: Diving deeply into your relationship with food and all that it can reveal to you. You will learn a whole new way to relate to food  from inside out— and explore the foundation upon which you build your life and your relationships.

A New Earth: Awakening to Your Life's Purpose, by Eckhart Tolle

In a nutshell: This book dives deep into stillness in a profound and beautiful way. It's about letting go of the ego, embracing our truth, and discarding the mental patterns that keep us trapped. It is truly beautiful. Personally, this book has helped to  transform my consciousness and unite with the Divine more deeply. It is one I go back to whenever I feel myself out of alignment. And, on its pages I find just the reminders I need to realign and move forward.

Perfect for: Raising your consciousness. Stripping back.

WishesFulfilledWishes Fulfilled: Mastering the Art of Manifesting, by Dr. Wayne W. Dyer

In a nutshell: Wishes Fulfilled started out as a book club reading for a dear friend and me last year. I didn't quite finish reading in time for us to exchange lessons learned, but I did keep reading and reflecting until I was done. And, I must say that this book took me on a voyage of discovery, wherein I began to tap into my power to manifest and create in my life all that I dream for myself. Dr. Dyer's words helped me to shift my thinking and begin to explore my highest self as I endeavor to live the spiritual truth "with God ALL things are possible."

Perfect for: Manifesting that which you dream to be, do and have.

I've always got my eye peeled for good spiritual books to add to my reading list. Have you got any that have opened your heart and changed your life? Share away in the comments. I'd love to hear your suggestions!
